Welcome to Clashing Steel Fencing!In 2024 the Wadsworth Fencing Club changed its name to Clashing Steel Fencing. Over the years the club has expanded to serve communities beyond Wadsworth, and simply put, we outgrew our name. Clashing Steel Fencing's mission is to promote the sport of fencing in Northeast Ohio. In doing so we hope to promote personal growth, leadership, and provide the best available resources to help our members reach their goals. We strive to help our members obtain these goals in a safe, accessible environment focused on building enduring traditions and creating new friendships. Clashing Steel Fencing serves the Wadsworth, Rittman, Wooster, Medina, Norton, Barberton and Akron areas. Practice Location
Basic Fencing Classes
Clashing Steel Fencing offers a basic fencing class to
all members. The class covers proper en guarde, footwork,
attacking, parrying and rules of the sport. This class is
included in the monthly dues.
Times:
- Monday 6:00pm - 7:00pm
- Saturday 10:00am - 11:00am
- Stretching - 5 min.
- Warm-up & Conditioning - 15 min.
- Group Drills & Lessons - 40 min.
Open Fencing
After the basic footwork class, the club opens the floor for
open fencing.
Times:
- Monday 7:00pm - 8:00pm
- Saturday 11:00am - 12:00pm
- Electiric Foil Fencing
- 4 scoring sets
- Open to all members that are in good standing and have met the criteria to participate. See club policies for more inofrmation.
